"Playbook" for Indus River Valley Civilization Assessment

Here are some items that you should definitely know for our Indus River Valley assessment:

-Geography:
   -Know the major mountain range that divides Asia from the Indian Subcontinent
   -Know what body of water the Indus River empties into
   -Know the physical regions of the Indian subcontinent
   -Know the two major cities of the Indus River Valley Civilization

Know the definition of:
    -Monsoon
    -Brahmin
    -Monism
    -Citadel
    -Sanskirt
    -Vedas
    -Dharma
    -Karma

Also:
-Know the 4 Noble Truths of Buddhism
-Be able to explain what made the cities of the Indus River Valley civilization decades ahead in terms of organization and infrastructure--be able to give specific examples of these.
 -Know who Siddhartha Guatama was, and why he was important.
 -Explain the role of Dharma and Karma in Hinduism.  Be able to include the role reincarnation works in the religion.
  -Know the Caste System of ancient India.

"Playbook" for Friday's Fertile Crescent/Judaism Assessment

Here are some items to definitely understand for tomorrow's assessment:

Be able to identify and understand the significance of:
Moses
Abraham
David
Solomon
Hammurabi
Nebuchadnezzar

-Understand the geography of the Fertile Crescent:
 -Know the rivers and what they drain into
 -Know what geographic features border the region
-Know the major bodies of water nearby

Know the significance and accomplishments of the following peoples:
-Hittites
-Chaldeans
-Assyrians
-Babylonians


Also....
-Know the advantages/disadvantages of this region compared to the Nile River Valley.
-Know some provisions from the Code of Hammurabi and how it differed from other attempts at law/rules.
